Grow Mediums

Compressed coir blocks available in singles. Their compact size makes these ideal for transporting.

Each block expands to approximately 8 litres when soaked in water. 

Hydroton clay pebbles main use is as a hydroponic growing media in flood and drain and dripper hydroponics systems like the Wilma. Clay pebbles can also be mixed with other hydroponic growing media like  Coco or Soil to give better aeration. To create better drainage when growing in pots add a layer of Clay pebbles in the bottom.

Bio-Bizz All-Mix is unlike anything you would find in a garden centre. It contains an effective blend of soil (20%), compost (35%), worm castings (10%) and Perlite (30%) as well as a special 'pre-mix' (5%) of biologically active organic ingredients that have been fermented for a month to create a potent mixture. We recommend using Bio-Bizz All-Mix during growth and flowering, ideally in conjunction with Bio-Bizz Nutrients for best results

Coconut Coir is rapidly becoming the media of choice for both soil-less gardeners and soil based gardeners who are concerned about the depletion of rare peat bogs in the world.

These Grodan Rockwool cubes are ideal for raising seedlings and cuttings and are supplied in their own plastic tray for easy handling. Once roots start to emerge through the cubes you will need to plant them on into larger Grodan Transplanting Cubes or some other medium.

Available in Strips of 7 or by the tray 77 pieces.

Root Riot Cubes are an organic propagation medium for soil and hydroponics.
Made from composted organic materials, these new cubes have a great spongy texture which retains the perfect air and water ratio for healthy, rapid root growth.
Suitable for both cuttings and seeds.

Jiffy Plugs are used around the world as an organic alternative to Grodan Cuttings Seed Cubes. Made entirely from compressed peat, simply add water to these 38mm compressed plugs and watch them swell up ready for your cuttings or seedlings. Providing enough nutrients to get your young plants going, Jiffy Plugs are a fantastic rooting medium that prove extremely easy to use.
